How long does it take for side effects from a cortisone injection to wear off?

i had a cortisone shot not too long ago for severe pain from fibromyalgia i did not have any side effects the shot lasted well over 6 weeks i did have some swelling in my hands feet and ankles we still dont know if it was that or side effects from tegretol but the swelling lasted about 2 weeks after stopping the tegretol

Depends on amount and strength of injection. I've had some that lasted little more than an hour and others that helped for several days.

My sister got that shot she had 2 wait 6hrs in the office then it took another day for it to wear off
