He is 14. He'll need to shave again when he turns 15. Relax! Shaving is what men do.
Shaving is a rite of passage. It is a way for boys to show that they are becoming men. Don't take this away from him. Embrace it.
The best you can do for him is have him learn how to shave the right way. Don't teach him how to shave the same way you shave your legs. It's not the same thing. An old school barber teaching him how to shave is one of the best experiences he will ever have.

I bought my son an electric razor when he was 12 because he was being bullied at school about his tash. Try not to make a big thing about it so that he doesn't feel like a freak. My son is now 15 and has to shave every day yet his brother who is 20 shaves about once a week. Good uck.

my little brother was about 14 when he first started shaving, its normal for a lad of 14 to start thinking about shaving. Don't wax, if it comes up all blotchy or red from waxing he will not be happy (like when you wax your eyebrows and for the next day theres a red mark)
i started shaving my legs when i was 11, and armpits at 12, ok you have to keep it up but its all the start of adulthood, kids grow up faster these days, he will always be your little boy or should i say little man, even after he shaves!

If he is embarrassed about this, maybe he is being teased at school because his friends aren't getting a mustache yet. You may want to say to him that it is a sign of becoming a man. He is maturing faster than his friends which is normal and that girls his age will see that he is more mature than the other boys. Tell him to wait a few weeks before shaving to see how the girls react. Those are the ones in wants to impress not the guys.

Buy him an electric shaver. He will have to start some time, and will be shaving for the rest of his life, so why delay it?
If he lives to be 80, then what;s the real difference between shaving for 66 years, or 65/64?

k. well not all guys look good w/ mustaches and as his mom ur not really in a position to think like that. lol. if he doesnt like it let him shave it. if hes more confident w/o it fine. uve warned him that he would have to do it more and he knows so if he still wants to do it let him. hes a man now. the mustache proves it. he might be ur little boy in ur eyes...but hes growing up. let him make this decision himself.

just let him he's probably trying to impress a girl or his friends, becuase now 'he shaves' lol as annoying as shaving is he's proably just growing up and trying to show it in other ways rather than going out all nite getting sum random girl pregnant and getting on drugs, let him do it i say, but show him properly u dont want his first shaving experience to be all cuts and frustration!
