me and an old friend of mine did it in 56 hours many years ago .To this day after having driven coast to coast many many times[I actually have lost count] that is still the fastest I've ever driven it. That particular trip was chemically aided and I would not recommend that you try to repeat it.
If you go coast to coast in 2.5 days you're going to crash for 24 hours when you get there and then wait another day until you feel normal again.. Trust me I know things
Realistically speaking most people average 50-55mph over the road on long trips. Anything over that is fast.
So realistic coast to coast times tend to be 72 -86 hours and anybody that mentions anything under 52 hrs has never driven it

Depends on what route you take and how long you can drive. If you take a southern route, you will only have to make a couple high way switches, and many of the highways have a speed limit of 75, which means you can safely go 80. Also, if you can drive 10+hrs a day you can make it across country in like 2 days.

if your round 2 the nearest whole number, then it would take about 44 hours. (lol, dont expect 2 do it in a day!)Lol, this is if u don't stop at all, which isn't likely. It's probably cheaper, and definitely easier, to fly there.
