Every state has different rules about getting married at the courthouse, etc.
I'm in a similar situation in myself. We decided last weekend that we're getting married at the end of November.
I have a suggestion, take it or leave it. Most cities and counties throughout the country will let you reserve a park for a wedding ceremony. Where I live you can do it with a refundable deposit. We're getting an officiant to meet us at the park, getting a friend with connections to bring 20 or so folding chairs, and we're getting married in the park with no frills, inviting just our closest friends and family. We're going to a friend's house to cook burgers afterwards.
My point is that just because you have to do something quickly, or cheaply, or both, doesn't mean it can't be fun and personal too.
But, about courthouses, the ones in FL ask that you make an appointment if you want them to marry you there. But that's all you have to do.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Kelly V; neither of you sounds really ready for marriage. You might think you are, but it doesn't sound from what you've told us that either of you has your stuff together just yet. If I were you, I'd hold off on the wedding and talk about it some more, perhaps even go get couple's counseling -- for younger couples, I usually require at least one session with them to discuss the future and determine if I think they're really ready before I agree to perform a wedding ceremony, because I prefer to be involved in marriages I think will last. Marriage is a lot more than just saying "I do" and riding off into the sunset or living happily ever after -- and assuming it'll be easy once you get the ring is the reason why nearly 60% of all marriages now end in divorce, and the vast majority of those occur in the first three to four years.
If you insist on taking the plunge next month, refer to the link below for answers to your questions about Ohio marriage licenses. You can email me here if you want more advice from an ordained minister. Good luck, and God bless.

Yes, you have to call the court house (or City Hall) to make an appointment. But court houses and city halls are usually ugly. Find out if the mayor of your town can perform the ceremony and is willing to meet you somewhere (that might be possible!). Or why not head off to Las Vegas and get married there. It will be cheap and fun!

Definitely call the courthouse and ask them. You'll need to get a license, and they can tell you how much it is, where to get it, and if there's any time limit on it. In Texas, you get the marriage license, but have to wait 72 hours before you can get married.
Good luck!!

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/J25la
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

Just go to the county court house to purchase your marriage license in the county you are getting married in, then go to the justice of the Peace or they can probably marry you in the court house, also you can go to a minister who will marry you at a church.
