Go to the vet, or pet store and pick up Advantage or Frontline...these are your 2 only and safe options. Stop bathing and throw away the collar they do not work. If you wait too long you will be asking how to treat your house!!!! Go to the store or make an appoinment NOW...the fleas are driving you both NUTZ!

Put your dog on Frontline Plus and both he and you will be happier. Also, if he has them bad, get some Capstar and it will start killing fleas within an hour and continue for 24 hours. This is safe enough to use every day, until you get the fleas under control. Also, bomb the house and vacuum often. Within no time, you'll be rid of the fleas.

Fleas on your pet doesn't sound like the problem you have. What you need to treat is every area your pet lays sleeps or spends any time at.You can sprinkle salt on your carpets.Leave it down for at least over night then vacuum it up.Make sure to empty the vac after wards because the salt will cause it to rust, if it's left inside. Also you can treat the yard with sprays on granular insecticide.Bug bomb the house and wash all the bedding. Wal Mart or your local lumber or hardware store will have everything you need. Then and only then.Retreat your pet.

In the UK at least, there is now an injection they can have. I have the same problem with my cats. You need to keep it up for at least six months, doing it once a month, on top of the jab (if your local vet has it). Also, get a can of flea-spray and lightly coat all areas, mainly where your pet(s) sleep. They need not be excluded from any dry areas, but keep them out of the way while you spray, and open a few windows/doors first.

%. some thing up on the animal well-being midsection. In some locales, the parasites are starting to be resistant to the particularly some flea and tick products so which you're dropping your funds in case you do no longer get the remarkable one. Your vet would be responsive to what works the place you reside, and you do no longer could take the canines in - basically be responsive to his weight if he does no longer have a checklist at that distinctive animal well-being midsection. For now, basically pull the tick out- slowly, parallel with the canines's epidermis. The longer it feeds on your canines, the plenty extra possibly that's to transmit between the tick-borne ailments.

Take a nylon stocking, fill it with garlic and put it around his neck. You can also rub garlic oil on his fur and add it to his food. Fleas hate garlic, cedar chips, and light. When you go to sleep at night leave a light on for your dog. Fleas preffer to feed at night.

believe it or not, my vet told me to use dawn dishwashing soap. It really does work. Bathe the pet with not to much dawn soap but enough to lather him up. Then use one of those thin combs. Let the water run. Don't fill the tub up or they will just jump right back on your pet. You can also purchase an expensive shampoo at your vet. But, I promise the dawn will work.
