You can keep in touch by email. He's starting on a new journey in his life, meeting new people, etc. You should spend more time with your friends, but keeping in touch with your brother by email and sending pics will make you feel better.

I kind of know how you feel. My daughter and granddaughter are moving 1000 miles from me next week and I am so sad I can barely function because we have been together since the day my daughter was born and I was the first person to hold my granddaughter in the delivery room.
I guess my advice to you and to me would be to find something to do to occupy your time. If he has a computer with internet at school, email him and get a web cam so you can see each other. That is what we are going to do. It won't be the same, of course, but it will help.

I had the same problem except my brother realized how much I would miss and love him and he moved close for awhile so that I could always go visit him whenever I wanted. Then after a few years when I was used to it he moved further away so that the seperation wasn't as painful. That really stinks, call your brother up when you know he doesn't have class, send him emails whenever you want to just send him something. I'm sure he'll answer back :)
