Nintendo Wii (pronounced Wee) and the PS3 both delayed? Whats the score with that??
Why do we in the UK always have to wait?
And why is the PS3 so so expensive?
(I know it contains blu-ray).

'Why are we waiting?' is the chorus line from UK gamers. Sony and Nintendo have been taunting us with news of their next-generation consoles for months, nay years, but as yet we're still no nearer to firm UK release dates.

Within days of the PS3 launch being pushed back to March, Nintendo has now given with one hand but taken away with the other. Quashing rumours that stock was on the way to the UK for a 24th November explosion, the Wii will in fact go on sale in Japan only on 2nd December. There's no word yet on when it might finally arrive on these shores.

The one piece of good news is that Japanese gamers are being asked to stump up a mere 25,000 Yen for the privilege of being the first to take home the new console. That translates as £113 in good old Sterling.

So we've less to save up but, failing an announcement in the next few days, it looks like it's going to be Xbox 360 versus no-one yet again this Christmas. Essentials Nintendo Wii Price: £113 (in Japan) (yahoo news)

the PS3 has only been delayed for europe. USA and Japan will both get it before chrsitmas this year (guess europe is the 3rd market in their eyes). The PS3 is actually delayed as they couldnt produce enoguh blu-ray chips to meet demands (kinda funny really). And its overly priced because they putting a lot of s**t in it ( good things or bad- you decide)
The Wii is NOT delayed and will be realeased in europe on December 8th, priced at £179 ( its higher over here because of the crazy british tax rate-dammit). it will come with the game 'Wii Sports'. Nice !

Hope this helps :)

It was announced about a week ago that the PS3 would not be released in Europe until March.

The Japan and USA release dates for the Wii were just announced today. I did not hear that the Wii has been delayed anywhere though, although perhaps the lack of confirmed European launch date is conspicuous?

PS3 is expensive, because Sony think that people will buy it regardless, just because of the name. Its a very arrogant stance.

By the way the Nintendo Wii will be release in U.K on Dec 8th 2006 for £179 with all the accessories and with Wii Sports game.

That's odd? I don't recall hearing that they're being delayed for any country? But I live in the US. Could you give me a link to a website that says they're being delayed? Or if it wasn't a website you got your information from, nevermind.

That's unfair! I wish you guys could get it at the same time. I'm thinking of buying the Wii... but probably no til' a year after is comes out when I will have extra money after buying it.
