Maybe something happened at school. Give her some time hopefully she will come to you soon. She is a pre-teen and is probably dealing with alot of different issues. I remember those days. Good Luck and if to much time passes by and she gets worse then talk to her about it.Let her know you are there to give her support no matter what.

This is normal behavior for a 12 year old. Don't change the way you treat her except make yourself a little more visible in her day. Just drop by her room - don't say anything - let her know you are around and keep the 16 year old out of her things. If she finds out something of hers was read you will really see her clam up. Just stay tuned in. She'll be fine.

Get to the bottom of it. It probably isn't anything but her age, but it could be more. Some of the things you write about are symptoms of depression and of drug use. Make sure you rule these two things out, which are the most important. If you have to, take her for a drug test. Let her be mad at you for it, but get to the bottom of the problem before it becomes something too big to handle alone. Good luck.

ok.
did it every accure to you tht see dnt trust you?
im sorry, I jus feel for her right now.
How do you know that nothing is wrong??
My parents dont even know wats wrong with my life. They dnt even care. They ask, I dnt tell them. Im 15, and everything has been crap ever since i was 10. The fact is that I dnt trust my parents and a million other people, because of the past. I have tried telling my parents, and they got annoyed with me. Yesterday, was the first time I EVER talked to someone about wats going on and it wasnt my parents.
So either your daughter doesnt trust you. Or she just hates her life coz no one understands.
Ask her.
If she doesnt tell you dont rush her.

Just keep the lines of communication open. Tell her of your concern, but dont make a big deal out of it. My niece is the same way (shes 13). Shes a little dark, but her parents dont talk to her like I think they should. Just make sure she knows you are there for her.

You didn't mention what her relationship is with her dad, nor where he is. Did you just recently get divorced? Has he passed on? Has she recently felt like she's lost him in one form or another?
The poem could be a clue as to her depression. Talk with her about it.

Talk to her. Sit in the hallway, on the floor and talk. Sixth grade is awful.
