I feel you on this one! Another one I hate is when whoever there trying to reach isn't in I'll ask would they like the direct dial number and they say no thank you.

Thoughtlessness. I go out of my way to tell them to BE ready when calling for information with a pen/pencil and paper and not to call me at work and keep me on the telephone very long.

The caller is usually ad hoc and not expecting to get through to a responsive and responsible party. The receiver on the otherhand may be in expectation of the future probable intended action.

Absolutely agree...it happened to me several times. Still don't get it, just like you.Seems like they don't really use their head to think before they do or say someting...it's still a 8th wonder of the world for me...I guess we should ask them...why?

for the same reason they call, you asnwer, start talking and then they say - ican you call me back, i'm going into an appointment LOL
