Christ is a spiritual attainment. Any one can attain this level of Christ consciousness. It was after his spiritual studies at 30, he actually worked for only 3 years & died at 33 years.
i once asked my christian friend this same question, & he failed it.

Christ means "Anointed one" it is a translation of the title "Messiah" which is a Jewish term from the Old Testament.

There were many prophecies about the Messiah including where and when he would be born, the type of death he was to suffer, and even his lineage.

Prophecies about the messiah would include: He would be born a descendent of King David, he would be born in Bethlehem, born of a virgin, he would suffer and die for the sins of us all.

You can find out more about the prophecies regarding the Messiah here:

So as to whether Jesus is the Jewish Messiah or not would depend on if he has fufilled the prophecies that the Lord made about the Messiah before he was born.

I believe Jesus fits these prophecies. As to when he attained that status, Jesus has been the Messiah since before there was time.

I saw one partially correct answer. The other part of it was blasphemy. So here's the correction. "Christ" does refer to the anointing, saying that Jesus is the "anointed one." The anointing oil in the Old Testament was used to "inaugurate" if you will, a person to the position of priest or king. It was a setting-apart for a position of greatness. They used actual olive oil to do this, which was mixed with fragrant spices that were very costly.

The anointing oil is a type of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. That's what the anointing oil of the Old Testament was alluding to. In the case of Jesus the Christ, He became "anointed" with the Holy Spirit when he came out of the water of the Jordan river, being baptized by John. The Holy Spirit descended and lighted upon Him as a dove, and this marked the beginning of His earthly ministry.

We as believers, standing in His stead as the "body of Christ" become anointed when we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (I personally believe, with the evidence of speaking with other tongues). This experience is, according to scripture, separate from and subsequent to the New Birth, when a person believes upon Jesus and is born-again (or "saved" - this is a statement of faith as the actual salvation takes place when judgment passes over you).

As for the second part of your question, "do you believe you are fit in Christianity," I don't think I understand the question. Maybe you could rephrase that.

"Christ" means the annointed one. Jesus became a christ when he was baptised. It means the opening of the inner eye, or the joining of oneself with the cosmos. Protestant christians are taught that there was only one christ in all of history, which flies in the face of what Jesus himself taught. There have been many many christ's, and there will be many many more. Any person who searches for the supreme God will be given as much revelation as he can endure at any particular point in his quest. Doubt it not. Jesus said "these things I do, you can do also, and yes, even GREATER.

Christ means the "annointed one". It is a term that was prophesied about Jesus before his birth, a messianic term
(Isaiah 61:1-2, Luke 4:18-19). He fulfilled it just by coming to earth.
As to "Am I a fit in Christianity?" it's not about what fits, but about what is true, ie. does it correspond to reality? Is it backed up with historical & archaeological proofs? If your religion can't hold up, don't put your trust in it. Faith isn't blind, it's reasonable.

The Messiah is "the annointed one." David was an "annointed one" as was every king of Israel. The only annointing in the gospel is the woman (Mary Magdelene according to most) who broke a flask of spikenard on Jesus feet. Jesus said he was being annointed for burial, not for coronation, so he was ever annointed king except in the minds of his followers in some spiritual sense, and as he did not return Israel to its golden age he was not a fulfilment of the Messianic hope.

Some people seek to become like gods and on others divinity is thrust. It is most likely that after the death of the historical Jesus of Nazareth he became the cultic icon of his followers and in the two hundred years that followed divinity was placed on him by the apostolic fathers. This was crystalised at the first and second ecummenical councils of the church at Nicaea and Ephasus.

Christ, from Greek, christos, meaning, annointed one.

According to that definition, I am a christ because I was annointed with blessed/sacred oil on all thirteen spots considered sacred to the Greeks. So why's this Jesus fellow special? To call him Christ is to say a greek priest/priestess played with his groin.

The Anointed one. He was always the Anointed One.
Yes, I fit. Because, God loves me even if I never "fit" into a Church. He loves me because I love Him, and I love Jesus.
Jesus said that the Father loves us because we love Him.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but...

Jesus has always been. God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit have always been. Jesus has always been the Christ and deliverer of all nations.
