Men these days wear makeup, get manicures, and have cosmetic surgery to improve their appearance. I suppose those same men may get a perm. I don't have a problem with it. For a man to do these things I would assume he has money, good advice about cosmetics and willing to try to help his looks. A guy with a balding spot, a colic, or extremely thin hair would benefit by the perm. I think all of the above answers pertaining to gay is an immature statement.

I think that women are becoming o.k. with men perming their hair because that means that they are comfortable with themselves. But most women won't take them serious in a relationship. Because most women want a man that is more masculine. But there isn't anything wrong with men perming their hair.

That's a tough one...I might think that man to be a bit vain. I know it seems like a double standard, especially when I have curly hair and occasionally have it straightened, but I guess I'm just kind of an old-fashioned girl, who believes in the typical male/female roles.

My brother did it in the 70s, he had very thin hair, it definitely gave him volume. However he's balding anyway. I however have really thick hair and I think he actually covets my hair LOL. No bald spots yet .

I had a good friend part-time lover who did this to his hair for over twenty years. He really looked good. If it looks good do it.

i think mens hair is sexy naturally. womens hair is different though.
i don't see the point in men doing that unless they wanted to be called homo.
