1000 times 1000 is one million... have you ever seen the mathematics show "Square One" on TV.. They show one song on this... it goes like this:

One thousand times one thousand is one million...
One thousand times one million is one billion...

Do u know how to write a million in numbers? It is 1000000 ...and then u just divide by 1000/one thousand ...so, move the decimal place 3 places to the left :)

The ones stay the same. You count the number of zeros and place them behind the 1.

Take the view in BASE10:
If 1k= 10E3
Then 1M=10E6
Simply ^ DOUBLE the exponent.
