Yes it is tradition to buy the bride a gift for the hen night, it used to be the something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, as a hen night was held the night before the wedding. As this is now usually held a week or so before the wedding the above has now faded.

You could try a gift bag/box with pamper products, such as party feet, leg cooling cream, under eye cream, bath salts or bath oils, etc so that the bride can re-cooperate quickly from the night out and not show any signs of drinking, as drinking can leave lasting signs on the skin for a week or so. A proper box should really include a detox kit, re-hydration drinks, bath oils with moisturiser and aydrating face mask, not to mention the party feet so she won't ahve blisters for the big day, usually 4-5 of the above products are considered appropriate. Boots and Superdrug have great ranges and are inexpensive and have alot to offer no matter what your budget
Good Luck and I hope it helps!

it depends what kind of hen night... if a refined hen party at her house/restaurant prob best to take something nice and 'grown up', Philosophy do a tin of beauty products called 'bride to be' which is always appreciated. If the hen night is a night out on the town, an inflatable willy from Ann Summers will usually do the trick.

Your part of the hen party so do the other hens bring you a gift? I would not take a gift to a hen party.

You don't have to, but I like to take a small 'fun' item, something a bit 'risque' like novelty chocolates or naughty lingeree. I got chocolate willies, chocolate body paint and various other items like that on my hen night.

It is not customary, you will be expected to buy a wedding preset though. If you do want to take something then take something that is funny or make the party go with a swing, like something she can wear. Best not to spend too much money on it though.

No don't take a pressie on the night - it will only get left behind somewhere. Go the little bit extra and put it towards the wedding pressie.

There's certainly no need to take a present, although some tend to take "rude" things, such as chocolate willies etc. Hve fun.

No need. She'll make enough money going round the pubs with you all from the men in there drinking.
