Interesting question, and you do know that homosexuality and enganging in it is part of what is called the 'rainbow of sin'....?
Well, the question is a critical one. Did you know that 80% of all sexual victims of priests were by men unto boys. That means that 80% of the abusers were homosexual. Homosexuality is only 1.5% of the population.
Well anything can be corrupted....lesbians in women's centers preying on vulnerable women, heterosexual men and women preying on students, and on and on.....the wolves in sheeps clothing.
If you want to kill, become a doctor, and you can get away with it; the paradox of one who is to heal, will kill.
If you want to prey on little boys, go where the boys are.
If you want to prey on little girls, go where the little girls are.
On and on....
Is the pope gay....I don't know !
However, bottom line there are alot of people, gay, lesbian and heterosexual who are preying on the vulnerable...

I don't know if he's gay but I do know he was a member of the Hitler youth. Beyond that, I can only say he was skillful at destroying others lives and is still very much in the vein of Machiavelli. I have my suspicions though.

It wouldn't matter a smidge to me--being gay would not make him any less of a person,--but I imagine it might cause some controversy among some, though not all, Catholics if it were true. It would make him something of a hypocrite, of course, holding others to a standard to which he himself does not conform.
