I think the question is better phrased, "Has it ever not been time?" Mature discussion is something that seems to be a thing of the past, and something very essential to the forming of a culture. I can't speak for all nations, but in America I see very few people willing to engage in actually mature discussion anymore.
I believe it is and has always been time for open and mature discussion between people of all faiths. Mature meaning not smashing, bashing, or trashing of other people. If you disagree, then explain intelligently and sincerely the reason you don't agree.
I grow weary of the answers, even here, which promote people to not think. People vote as best answer whatever they already agree with, rather than what may actually be the best answer to the question. That is a sad state. So yes, I think it is time for an open and mature discussion between Christians and Jews.

Mature discussion is nearly non-existant on Yahoo! Answers so a mature discussion between any groups here would be refreshing.
That said, IRL, open and mature discussion between Christians and Jews does occur. The problem is, Christians themselves and Jews themselves are not unified groups so it would be rather difficult to have a discussion between Christians as a whole and Jews as a whole.

Shalom. Right now we can't even have a decent red state blue state discussion thanks to the evil dictator formerly know as the frat boy.
I think that if everyone had paid attention in their comparative religion classes they would know that most religions are pretty similar in goals, it's the church doctrines that separate us. Doctrines, and the aforementioned frat boy.

i believe that discussion has already started with JP2 some years back and I pray it's continuing. what some Christians fail to realize sometimes is that with out the Jews, we would have no Jesus.

I don't know. I think we have a lot of common ground and could possibly resolve some disagrements, but at the end of the day, are we really going to change each other? We'd agree on peripherals and agree to disagree on the fundamentals.

Sounds good, I have a question about Tschevah and I don't even know if I spelled it correctly. And if any Muslims are present, how does Ramadan differ? Aren't both about turning inward for repentance? (respectful question)
