I have an adopted son and we try to keep his birthmother in our lives as much as possible. The problem is she was 15 when she got pregnant and just turned 18. She is pretty busy going to school and living her life. So we keep in touch through email. This may be a way for you to ask her questions that you may not normally be able to ask face to face.
Just take things slow and dont expect too much. Things will work themselves out.

Wow - I was adopted too as a baby, but not by a blood relative. Are your legal parents willing to help you build a relationship with her? How do they feel? Talk to them and they will help you. Maybe with weekend trips, phone calls, emails. Your bio Mom should also make arrangements to come see you. Don't leave it all up to yourself to do.
Your biological Mother will always love you.

Just write letters and send E-mails..Plan get together once a month...But don't selfishly neglect the people who raised you..Sometimes people fantasize how great people are when they really don't know them at all ...You may find the closer you get to your biological mother she may not be everything you thought she would be

Does she want to get closer? If she does she will have to be the one doing the driving to see you, and making sure you get there. What do your adoptive parents think? After all they are the ones who love you and have taken care of you.....don't forget about THEIR feelings.

I'm sure your biological mother will want to become closer to you too. But please don't forget that your "real" mom is the one who has raised you and has been there for you through good and bad.........
