I presume that you are the employer and want to retain good employees.
I like to make sure I praise my staff (employees) everyday for something they had done very well. Caution, do not use false praise as that is soooo very transparent. We would have office parties on special occasions. We offered the best benefit package we could for our size of operation. Make clear what your promotions are based on and what would be expected. And most of all, listen to your employees, they will indicate what they need. As some people are motivated by money, others recognition and yet others little promotions.
