Well, I am a college student and I really enjoy school. I have always enjoyed school ever since I was real young. I have hadmy very first job for a year now, since I graduated HS last year as a pharmacy clerk. The thing is the job is challenging and everything but I just dont like to work. I would much rather be a fulltime student and attend school and focus on my grades and studies evern more. Do you think I am in the wrong?

Why not try and find a job that you enjoy? Who cares if it doesn't pay as well? It's much more important to be happy with your life than it is to be rich. There's got to be soemthing you enjoy, nothing is too far fetched! Good luck!

No, not at all. If you can do it financially then go to school fulltime, if not, just work and go to school at the same time. I like school tons more than work, also. In fact, I have probably gone to school more than I have worked in the last 25 years since I graduated from HS. It is more fun than working and more interesting. I finally earned a BA degree 2 years ago. But I also have an AA and an AS and a Certificate of Completion for all the academic studies I have done. I am not richer monetary-wise but richer breadth-of-knowledge-wise and rose to a higher educated level which is VERY SATISFYING.

No, I don't think you're wrong at all... I'm a student in college as well, and I would much rather focus 100% on school, and not deal with work... But unfortunately I have bills to pay, and actually, when I think about my bills... I would rather focus 100% on bills, and not deal with school. So I'm forced to focus 50/50 on both. X(

I joined the military after HS, so I'm already 4 years behind most people when it comes to an education, and that's why I want to focus 100% on school. But those damn bills! I just want to work full time, and get out of debt!!!! But then I'd be that much more behind in school! Agh!!! It's so frustrating!!

Well, you have to look at the good side of things. Going to work and going to school at the same time is difficult, and it's natural to want to go the easy route and do one instead of two. But going through hard times builds strong character, and will only make you stronger in the future. Work experience is very important when trying to apply for your future career.

I, too, am a college student who works. It would be spectacular if I could be a fulltime college student, no doubt my grades would be perfect and I'd be able to take a few more hours. If you have the option of going to school full time without the worries of a job, take it every time. But for most of us that isn't an option, and if you are planning to pursue post-graduate studies it is a good idea to get used to managing your time effectively and handling both a job and school responsibilities.

Good luck this semester!

No stay in school as long as you can!!! Go for the 25 year plan if possible. The real world sucks.
