Jesus shed His blood for the remission of sins, that is why He is caled the lamb. In the Old Testament Law, people had to sacrifice a spotless, pure lamb. Jesus was the Lamb that was pure and spotless(He never sinned) and was a self sacrifice for all people. He didn't have to sacrifice Himself for us, since He lived a perfect life, He was going to go right back to heaven even if He didn't die for us.
"For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Matthew 26:28

confusing wording on that question. Are you just trying to make people think that they should thank Jesus for dying for them?

Jesus died once for all. If you believe in him and repent of your sins, he will forgive you.
