I wanted to add more to a question but it was moved too far back on the list for anyone to find. so here is the question plus the additional info
this girl has a crush on me and is really nice but im not sure if if i feel the same.?
i mean i just met her yesterday when one of her friends went up to me and told me. i was then shown who she was and asked her if she did. she said yes. i dont know how she can like someone until you actually talk to them. i like to be friends with someone first before i decide if i want to date them. how should i explain this to her without hurting her feelings. (if this question makes no sense please tell me so i can change it)

*she says she's never really done this before
*her friends forced her to tell me because she's shy
*she didnt want to say anything because she wasnt sure if i liked her or not
*she thinks im cute

also i think i have feelings for one of my friends. i know that nothing will probably happen between me and my friend but i think it is the reason why i dont like this girl.
she just isnt my friend and i guess thats who i want.

Well, i can understand why you don't like being friends first, but that doesn't have to stop you from trying to be her friend. It might get a little awkward, but you can at least try and get to know her. And as for your friend, if you are close friends, then you should at least try figuring out if she likes you more that a friend also. Who knows, it might turn out to be a good relationship.

Tell her just like that... You want to get to know her a little better. Arrange group dates, if you have mutual friends, go to the movies, mall or hook up at a football game. Honesty is the best approach and if she can't understand where you are coming from then she isn't worth your time. .... Her note sounds like she might be a sweet girl. ... Good luck

nothing wrong with getting to know someone before you decide if you want to socialize, she is likely just physically attracted to you. Likes the way you look, doesn't mean you need to date her. maybe you could get aquainted and work towards being friends. If you like your friend, ask the friend out.
