I think it is a toss up. Both cars are well-made and both hold their value very well. Purchase prices are similar. I recommend that you make your decision after test driving both. Resale value might be important, but the most important consideration is utility. How it handles, rides, controls, seat comfort space are something you will have to deal with every day.
My only complaint about Honda Civics is that the seats are too hard.
My only complaint about the Toyota Corolla is that the A/C blows powerful and irritating blasts of air on you.

Well I can't really speak on behalf of a Honda Civic, as I have never owned one. However, I have had a toyota Corolla for the past 2 years and I have not had one problem with it. I've had no troubles whatsoever concerning the running of the car, and it is excellent on gas. It a very smooth ride too. Highly recommended!

I would go with the Toyota, because I have had good luck with them lasting forever. In terms of repair value, the honda will probably be cheaper. So, if you are going to keep the car for a long time, get a toyota, if you're only keeping it a couple of years, get a Honda.

If you are Republican get a Honda. If you are not get a Toyota (better engine, no rubber belt).

neither are made in america so to save some money you would rather watch as our factories close. you place greed befor honor.besides both of those cars become tombs when a truck hits them.but what the heck money is more important that saftey. don't be surprised when you are targeted because you did not assimilate into our society.
