If Pioneer and Alpine were people and they got in a fight who do you think will win?

Pioneer all the way, the headunits have basically the same features, i dunno if alpines have amp fans on their HUs but pioneer does now, Alpines HU's look like as*, pioneers radios look great. The world record for SPL is held by a pioneer system, NUFF SAID!!!!
Oh pioneer makes some great Home audio and visual shhsss too thats extra credit

I would PERSONALLY lean toward the Pioneer in your situation. (Disclaimer: I like Alpine). You have put a pretty decent system together and (aside from the Sony Amplifier) should sound good with either head unit. The 4V preamp outputs on the Pioneer make it more compatible with some better quality amplifiers. The MOSFET amplifier is an added bonus. After you make your decision, I would recommend upgrading the Sony amplifier. They are over rated (spec wise) and at the lower end of the car audio spectrum.

Alpine seems to be the weapon of choice for all the big car audio guys these days.They seem to have even bumped over Clarion which use to be loved by all competition car audio guys.

Pros and cons:
They both play music.
They both have radios.
They both fit in your car.
They both run off of 13.8VDC
