Well, do you know that Hershey is not just all chocolate. Theres a park there, that's really enjoyable. So if I were you I would just take the dog. Head up, I live in Pa and it's cold over here....LOL

Aside from the fact that I think this might be a fake question here are my thoughts:

1) You won't be able to bring the dog into the chocolate factory.... They don't allow animals in there (I guess unless you are blind and it's a guide dog.). It's not sanitary.

2) Odds are, you won't be able to find a hotel that will let you have a dog.... but if you can....

3) Do you want to pay a deposit to the hotel (if your pet makes a mess)? Will the pet fly (in the luggage)? or Does it drive well?

I personally say don't mess with it. Leave the little guy at home. Either leave him with a friend or relative or board him until you get home.

Well if you take him with you there might be places where you can't have dogs so you couldnt go in either. But if you left him at home he might get lonely. If you are staying for a week or longer you should tell someone each day to come take care of you dog, so he won't get lonely. That person could walk your dog and play with him. I would leave him at home because if you start taking him with you everywhere than he won't want to stay at home when you do have to leave him home. Hope I was useful and Have Fun in Hershey PA!!

Don't feed him chocolate. Are you going to be staying in a motel or
with someone that you know? If staying in a motel it is best not to
leave him alone in the room. If you do, leave the TV on and notify
the desk you have an animal in the room. If you can take him with
you during the day..providing it's not too warm...that would be best.
Has he ever been left before? If not and he is a clingy dog you might want to keep him with you or leave him with "Grandma" if
you can. It's always better for the dog to be in a safe place
that he is familiar with. Take his toys along and a crate if you
crate him at home.

It depends on just how your dog reacts to being without you..You would need to shop ahead for a dog day care, so you would have the freedom to take in all of the sites..but, if your dog would refuse to eat, mope in a corner, or stress himself into poor health, you would be wisest to take him along, and find a GOOD day care while you are on some of the outings..
You might try a day in your local day care and see how he adjusts, before the trip..

If you have the option, always take your dog with you. I don't understand people who get dogs and then never take them out or take the dog anywhere with them. My boyfriend and I decide on our vacations based on whether or not we can bring our dog with us. It's just always so much more fun when he's around.

And please, I beg you, don't ever give your dog chocolate.

Take the dog with you, do you think it wants to be stuck in a house it's whole life? It wants to explore just like you

Unless you know your exact itinerary and are positive that your dog will be warmly welcomed, I'd leave him. Strangely enough, not everybody loves dogs; it may less of a hassel to go without him.

don't give your dog chocolate.
i think leaving him home alone is worse because he'll be so lonely and then maybe he'll never forgive you.
you should get a babysitter for your dog, unless it's a very small dog, then you should definitely take it with you.
