From your description, your Contour has no value....yet.
Automatic or stick? V-6 or 4? Which model; base, SE, or ... Color of interior; grey, black or tan? Air conditioning? Cloth or leather? Spoiler? Alloy wheels? Smoked in? What stereo? Moonroof? Clean title? How many owners? Where you located? You deliver? Offer financing? Guarantee pass inspection? Use Kelly Blue Book for a guide. Your car is only worth what a buyer will offer & you'll accept.

Zip! Donate it to the kidney foundation, you ll get more of a tax deduction than the car is worth.
