Atheists don't want christians preaching in their comfort zone, so why is it important enough to them/you to post ridiculous questions in this catagory?

Your mistake is assuming that atheists are a cohesive group, like organized religion is. Simply not true. If you're going to say "Why do atheists _________?" That blank better be filled with "not believe in god?" because that's all that every atheist has in common.
Personally I have a problem with religion not because it's preached to me, but because it holds back society as a whole. I want it gone, so that everyone can have a better life. It has nothing to do with preaching.

Let me make a simple clarification on my own behalf, please. I am indeed an atheist and I do not ridicule any person for believing what he or she wishes to believe. I do, however, resent it when some religious fanatics ask loaded questions or expect everyone to believe as they believe or try to impose their idiologies on others, that include ME. Your question is decidedly "loaded" by making the assumption that atheists "need to ridicule religious people." You might have asked why SOME atheists have this need or why SOME atheist need to ridicule or why SOME atheists ridicule... if YOU don't see the difference in asking a question and asking a "loaded" question, I really cannot help you with a reply but can only suggest that you copy this reply and speak with your English teacher. Perhaps he/she can explain what a "loaded" question is. I could have simply said that those with religious beliefs could just as easily keep it to themselves instead of committing environmental pollution, but I won't do that (yes, in other words those that have the right to express themselves also have the right to keep their mouths shut, too, because your rights end where my begin and maybe I don't wish to have to hear the nonsensical religious propaganda being spewed).
WHY don't you check to see how many threads are posted that dump on atheists before you even ask such a silly question? Try telling those religious fanatics to stop and see how "Christian" their responces will be? Go on, I DARE you!

I agree it does go both ways. Atheists make fun of Christians because Christians (for the most part) don't retaliate in the same way athiests do. They are basically bullies. If they don't believe then they should go somewhere else. For me, I want to answer serious questions. Atheists are so weak, they hide behind their weak arguments and derogatory slurs. But when you have real evidence they have nothing intelligent to say.

Just because a small number of them do that or rather those who claim to be does not represent ALL Atheists....
Also Atheists question Christians on why they believe in what they believe. So we should be allowed to ask questions and why and how they come to that conclusion

Atheists that I know still try to challange their beliefs that there is no God. I think they look for new information or new perspectives they maybe didn't have before.
"Why do Atheists feel the need to ridicule religious ppl on 'answers'?"

Stop the hate. Why does anyone ridicule an other, regardless of religious status. Shouldn't you forgive the atheists and strive to be a better role model? Or is that just for us witches to do?

I cant speak for all of the atheists here as you seem to... however i do tend to ask some questions that you might view as absurd. The goal behind these questions isn't to mock you or make fun in any way, rather it's to challenge you to think about the implications of certain beliefs to see that there is more to it than "read your bible" or "faith."
rAmen.

because ridicule is a powerful tool. perhaps if we atheists ridicule you theists enough youll go back and rethink your position on invisible men in the sky.
is this category your confort zone? we atheists can post here if we choose to. this isnt your website, if it was then we most likely wouldnt...probobally because youd ban anyone who hs a dissenting thought that differs from yours (therefore making it dissenting).
if you dont like it then leave. i doubt many, if any, will stop you.

The bible said that men love darkness rather than light. Trying to tear them away from it upsets that part of them that is fighting the truth.
