No, my dog often gets a sort of foam around his mouth just when he eats his dog food, and if a dog has rabies he will have other symptons other then just foaming at the mouth, like he will either be more agressive or more passive, plus once they get rabies they dont live very long (about a day or so)

NO
They can foam at the mouth after running without having a drink of water.
Poisons can do that.
Seizures.
Something stuck in the roof of the mouth.
Abscessed tooth.

Many variables when it comes to the foaming at the mouth issue.

Have the dog checked by the Vet.

I think my daughters Newfie was foaming at the mouth the day she was born.
Can't go near that dog without having a towell with you.
So the answer is, no, and not all dogs with rabies will be foaming at the mouth.

I have one that does it everytime she meets another dog. Its when they get excited.

I have one that does it as soon as you trick him into getting int the car. He gets car sick and scared.

And we have a permanant in the program that eats toads every chance she gets and never foams. It depends on the dog.

The dog may just drool a bunch, he may have eaten Alka-seltzer... or he could have just forgotten to wash off after shaving.

No. It could be from any number of reasons. Even something as simple as getting ahold to some toothpaste.
