I have been with my boyfriend for ova two years, and i have noticed more and more how paranoid he is. He still has a passbook for his bank account, and dont trust cash machines. He wont even leave shoes in his car, incase they are stolen.am i just being paranoid or is this normal behaviour for a 20 year old?

A little bit of paranoia is healthy!
Hopefully he is as careful with you as he is with his stuff.

Consider the environment in which he was raised. Some people are just conditioned to be more cautious than others. Don't hassle him simply because you think he is being too careful - you'll just be making him defensive and self-conscious for no reason. Remember that we experience all emotions for a reason, and that paranoia is our first defense.

Some are like that. He will probably mellow with age and confidence. At least you know he will remember to lock the door on the way out. I once forgot even to close the front door and left it wide open all day!

your fella may have compulsive disorder and it could get worse and take over both your lives. have a chat with your gp and look online about this. it could be a big commitment long-term and you're very young to become a carer.

Yeah... who wants their money or shoes stolen? Maybe in his upbringing he has bad experiences with things always getting stolen so he keeps a little more safe...

I don't think his behavior can be classified as normal or abnormal. I would describe it as meticulous...which has its on attributes. If it must be classified however, I would say that its positive rather than negative.

Sounds like this **** has been drilled into him for 20 years by his parents, or maybe he's just obsessive compulsive.
