I know I asked it earlier, but I want more answers.

My children are 1/2 black and 1/2 Japanese. In our predominately white town would my children benefit more by learning ebonics or Japanese?

I'm beginning to think they'll have to learn Spanish!!!

If you answered this morning you may answer again if you please, however I will not be awarding best answer to you twice if I like your answer best both times.

there is no such language as Ebonics. Purge that notion from your brain. Only the ignorant refer to such a thing

I would have to say that the way our country is going learning spanish would be most beneficial for your kids. But educating them in Japanese would not be bad either, There is nothing wrong with learning new things. I don't really think that ebonics is a recognized language though.

If you want your kids to get ahead, don't even consider Ebonics. It's not even a language. I don't know where you live, but I still think that the Romance languages are the most useful and helpful, so I would look at French or Spanish.

I think they would benefit more by learning proper English although Spanish wouldn't be a bad second language to learn. Ebonics is considered by many as street language and is not received well by corporate America. That's just the way it is.

I think if they are going to live in the USA he main languages are English and Spanish. If they are going to spend time in Japan than Japanese. Also, it will be very usefull as a business skill . I dont think ebonics is usefull to communicate or for higher education

Teach them a European language. That will boost their skillset later on in life because business is becoming more international every day. The main ones I suggest are German, French, and Spanish.

Japanese would be a good idea as well, since it's different and they'll be more popular because of it as well as the business reason I gave above.

This is still America, Japanese as a second language, fine, but not ebonics which isn't even considered a language, and should not be categorized as one.

Really? What is the punch line to this question? Well, if you are serious, I absolutely agree with King Nimrod and NL.........your children would sound uneducated in the least if you should choose to have them speak "ebonics"........failure in english class also will prevail.

well if you really want your children to learn something then make it japanese. No one benefits from learning ebonics because it decreases english scores.

Wow...Ebonics never became an official dialect, in case you didn't know that already...that's like asking if your kid should learn Pig Latin or Italian

I pray with all my heart that was just a joke!
