If you are a sports fan and the local teams do well you can go see the Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and possible th Blue Jays as they begin their season.
There is a tonne of cultural stuff to do with museums, galleries, science centre (indoor stuff if the weather is not great) But if it is nice, Harbourfront is always good , trendy shopping in Yorkville, Old world style shopping in Kensigton Market, Chinatown, The Danforth (Greek Town) College street West (Little Italy). Bloor West of Spadina (little Korea) great Karaoke clubs.
There is a whole world in Toronto - pick the neighbourhoods by choosing what type of food you want and you'll be presently surprised.
And then there is always the CN Tower

There are so many things to do in Toronto; it's a city that doesn't sleep [kinda like New York]. In April, hence it being spring time, there is always a chance of rain, dampness, cool days, etc...

The weather is unpredictable that time of year - it can be really chilly or fairly warm so bring enough of each type of clothing. And don't forget to save your receipts when you go shopping because we get charged a tax called GST and tourists can get it back before they head home (saves ya some coin)
Enjoy our city - it is awesome!
