I can't imagine that anything you do for just three days will effect your body in either a positive or negative way in the long-run. You may lose five pounds or so but if you don't significantly use this radical "kick-start" approach to going into much healthier long-term eating habits, nothing will come of this experiment. Except, you will hate even the very smell of oatmeal. I've heard of many other people detoxing with fruit only diets. Or vegetable juices.

What do you need to "detox" from your body??? All the i don't know how many years you ate junk food. Well, I'll tell you what, for one, 3 days isn't enough to clean your body of whatever junk you have put in there. Keep an ongoing healthy diet and soon your body will "fix" itself on it's own. Now the positive, is, you'll probably go to the bathroom a lot , if your into that kinda stuff.

For some individuals it's entirely traditional to move to the bathroom every three or 4 days. Should you don't have to stress whilst you go, then this is more likely to be your average bowel habit. When you do have to push rather rough whilst you do ultimately go, you could are trying growing both insoluble and soluble fibre on your weight-reduction plan: SOLUBLE is discovered in most fruit and veg INSOLUBLE: Bran, wholewheat merchandise should you devour quite a few fibre (from Bran) you have got to drink extra fluids to aid bulk out the poo, in any other case it will get caught! Any fluids will do on high of your water with meals, simply try to add a different 3 glasses a day/ Dr P

If you are interested in only effects they will most definately keep you at home for at least three days as you will not go far from a toilet for that period of time.
The bulk of the oatmeal and the water will give you a good case of the "need to go nows" In the process it will clean you out very well.

No. The fiber in oatmeal is is a great nutrient and your digestive system will be in great shape from the fiber allowing you to have normal bowel movements. That, along with the water gives a detox effect that would probably not be effective for atleast 3days.

It will cure you of the urge to eat oatmeal for a long time.
See Digestive Wellness by Elizabeth Lipski, or the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine by Murray & Pizzorno for a good discussion and instructions on how to detox safely and effectively with the necessary cautions.
Good luck!

It would do you good, providing that you don't do it for any longer than 3 days. Make sure you slip in at least one glass of fruit juice a day too.
To be honest the best detox I've had is the Carol Vorderman mini detox. It's for 2 weeks and involves cutting out meat and dairy products. I've been doing it once a year for about two years and it's perfect for post-holiday indulgence.

you should always eat a healthy balanced diet everyday.if you want to detox, the good one would be lemon, cayenne pepper and honey. you can find that easy on the internet on how to do it. however, you can only detox ur body once in a while, maybe once a month i think. however, porridge and water for three days wont do you any harm, if you do it longer, then you'll have problem of undernourishment besides i dont think you'll last long with it..its pretty boring...good luck with ur detox!
