Got you covered, young lady:

EXERCISE: Do something every day, even if it's just a 10-minute walk. Best exercises for burning fat are: (1) Circuit training with light weights -- helps you tone up while busting out the flab, and (2) Sprint drills -- pick an aerobic exercise you like, such as jogging, cycling, rowing, swimming, etc., do a 30-second "sprint" followed by 90-120 seconds of "light jog" pace exercise, repeat 8-12 times.

DIET: Don't concentrate on counting calories. Just be sure to eat something for breakfast every day within 90 minutes of getting up -- people who don't are 450% more likely to be overweight -- and you can boost your metabolism by eating six smaller meals a day instead of three squares a day.

The following things are your enemies:

-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks, fruit juice, etc.)
-- Partially or fully hydrogenated oils (chips, cookies, etc.)
-- Refined flour/sugar
-- Saturated fat

The following foods are very weight-loss friendly:

-- Nuts (any kind, but almonds are best)
-- Beans/Legumes
-- Green vegetables (raw spinach tops the list)
-- Lowfat dairy products
-- Eggs
-- Lean meats (especially fish and poultry)
-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in "berry" is a winner)

Drink plenty of water and tea, preferably green tea and black pekoe tea -- they're high in antioxidants and will help ramp up your metabolism. Also, try to get at least 25 grams of fiber into your diet every day -- it fills you up and helps get all the "bad" fat out of your system. Replace the "bad" fat with "good" fat by taking a tablespoonful of olive oil three times a day, preferably before meals -- it's a natural appetite suppressant.

Most imporantly, for half a day once a week, chuck ALL the rules and eat/drink whatever you want. Just don't gorge yourself. That way you won't feel so deprived, and it really isn't detrimental to your weight loss efforts as long as you don't stuff.

Good luck, and have a happy and svelte sweet sixteen party!

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Don't get overly concerned about your weight, you are still young.
Think more about being healthy and looking good.

Burn more calories than you eat. Take in about 2000 a day.

Cut your fat intake.

Eat three cups of fat free low cal yogurt a day (make sure it has live cultures in it).

Do 45-60 min. of aerobic exercise a day (preferably before you eat in the morning).

Do 20 min of weight training three times a week.

I lost 40 lbs in two months and have kept it off for two more months doing this. I also took my body fat % from 30% to 14%

Be Blessed

thats depends on how much weight you want to lose. you can safely lose 5 pounds every two weeks. that equals 30 pounds by your birthday. everybody else gave some good advice on exercises you can do and the types of food you should eat. losing weight is never a quick fix. dont cheat on your diet and you will succeed without a doubt.

Crunch time! Leg lifts are great for busting your lower tummy. Just lay on your back and keep your legs straight on the ground. Then lift your legs until you feel it in your stomach and lower your legs. Repeat for 12 reps (times). Then do this 3 times. That makes 48 lifts and you will feel the burn.

For overall weight loss, walk and/or jog. Eat less calories.

Have a great 16th bday! Only happens once and it's fantasticly fun.
