Many different possibilities here. Keep in mind these all grant you "residency status" and to become a citizen it takes time and loads of paperwork later after you arrive here.
OPTIONS:
1- You marry a US citizen. In the US or abroad.
2- You have a child with a US citizen, making you the immediate family of the baby (US citizen automatically)
3- You file for one of many different types of Visa's and immigrate
(student, work, investment, whatever)- then file for citizenship once here.

The bottom line is just getting here on a VISA or marriage does NOT make you a citizen. For that you must obtain residency, and then operate legally for a term of years, and finally take a test. At this point you have the option of becoming a citizen. Keep in mind also the US is different than most other countries in that we seldom allow the dual-citizenship in these cases. Usually they will demand you dissolve your citizenship in order to become a US citizen. The general exception to this is a child of a US citizen and parent of another county. In this case they will allow you to choose.

First, suggestions made to marry a us citizen, wrong! USCIS knows when this type of fraud takes place!
Also, if you marry a us citizen and have a child DOES NOT make you a citizen, bad info!!!!!
Visit www.uscis.gov or talk to an immigration attorney.
Without immediate family in the US, (us citizens) its difficult, at best, to get a visa. Only 60k work visa are allowed each year, so good luck with a work visa.
You also cannot become a citizen by simply going to school here or getting a visitors visa, again bad info.

I appreciate you inquiring how to come to the USA the right and legal way. I can respect that.
I cannot respect anyone who does not respect my Countries Laws. I was born here and I'm Documented! (Pulls out His Drivers license and Social Security Cards) So everyone else had better be documented.
I hate that so many Latinos have resorted to playing the race card. "Oh, the Grigos hate us!" No I don't, I just want to know who you are, I need to know you don't meen us harm. And since 9-11 I will not appoligize for that!
I've provided a link to Immigration that may help you in your quest for citizenship. Be Patient, I understand it is a long process. However I welcome you to my Country some day...

Try marrying a US citizen. May be the easiest way. I dont know for sure, but an investment in the US does not qualify you for US citizenship.
