My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Abosolutely! You can not only lose it quickly but safely on the Cambridge Diet. If you just have 10-15 lbs to lose then you'd do well on the Fast Start Diet and it wouldn't cost very much. (comes with a money back guarantee too) See "The Diet" tab on the website below for details on the Fast Start variation of this diet. The same page lists all the other variations of the diet as well. It comes in the form of soups, shakes and oats (you can bake with the oats). If you purchase the 2 weeks Food For Life Sampler plan you'll also recieve a bunch of freebies including a recipe book for specific cambridge recipes. The 30 day FFL Sampler runs about $89. It includes all of your servings for 2 full weeks, a box of calorie-free drink packets in assorted flavors, 7 nutrition bars (DELICIOUS!) in all the different flavors and a bunch of literature, tumbler for mixing drinks on the go, etc. I've lost 30 lbs so far and lost the first 17 in 3 weeks! One container of 15 servings (5 days worth) costs $22.65 so if you couldn't afford the 2 week plan you could always just buy a few containers.

1. Start moving. One of the most effective weight loss strategies around is exercise. 2. eat lots of veggies and fruits, have some protein, but not a ton, and stay away from stuff with sugar. 3. Eat small, healthy meals and snacks several times a day. 4. Team up. Get together with a friend who has much the same goals as you. 5. Think health. Don't try to lose weight. Instead, try to get healthy. 6. Get rest. When your body is tired. 7. Drink water. 8. Don't quit. look at http://www.theaones.com/answers/weight-loss/what-is-the-best-diet-that-works.htm for a complete Healthy Weight Loss Program

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Be wary of a diet that has you lose weight fast. Your body will think you're starving and slow down your metabolism, and you'll gain all the weight back plus some when you stop dieting. It takes a long time to gain weight, and losing it has to be a slow process, too, for it to be permanent. I have had the best results doing Weight Watchers.

Burn more calories than you eat. Take in about 2000 a day.
Cut your fat intake.
Eat three cups of fat free low cal yogurt a day (make sure it has live cultures in it).
Do 45-60 min. of aerobic exercise a day (preferably before you eat in the morning).
Do 20 min of weight training three times a week.
I lost 40 lbs in two months and have kept it off for two more months doing this. I also took my body fat % from 30% to 14%

Drink as much beer as you can and only eat sliced turkey or lean meat (protein) once a day. I have lost weight this way and it's fun!
