Through mist I saw her sitting on the bed. Her red robe shimmered in fluid waves when she adjusted her posture. She posed for me as if I was the greatest painter to ever put oil to canvas. Something from within her - soul or spirit - but warm - emanated outwards. Her robe billowed; her beauty froze me. I felt guilty about my vacant stare. I turned again to the woman, but she had vanished. I reached out to grasp the last puffs of red that dissolved into the air. I knew what I had to do.
