Buying or Renting? The location would be dependent on where your work would be but if you don't mind driving and can handle traffic, might as well live outside the big city such as LA, San Francisco or San Diego. But the best place for me would be Orange County which where I am now, near to the beach, resturants are everywhere and a really good place to start a family. Just to let you know, the housing cost around here is ridicously expensive.

I can tell you were NOT to live. The High Desert! I have lived her almost my whole life and it wont let me go!!!

I agree with alot of other posters, Santa Monica is very nice, Malibu, and Pacific Palisades too. You really can't go wrong with a beach city. Good Luck.

My preference is anywhere near the ocean. Try Santa Monica. Its not too far from UCLA hospital.
You definetly don't want to live too far from your job. Traffic over here is terrible. Try Monster.com and see where there are high demand in your profession.
