Sounds like a tube has gone. This happened to our tv once when it lost its green colour.
Had to buy a new tv

Try another TV to test if its lack of signal .It sounds like a cable problem , its hard to say without seeing it.

Oh yeah. The picture tube went out. You'll have to get a new set, as it won't be worth the price to have it fixed.

Either your tube is shot, or the satellite dish has been disconnected.
Or, if you have Sky or another card-based TV provider, your card just expired.
