someone who loves you can't live without you and will bend over backwards to please you. they may not always say it. love is not an emotion it is an act. remember love is compiled of every emotion and act there is to have from admirationa and respect to disgust and deception. If it ALL isn't there at some point it's not really love.

I think you can tell when someone loves you vs. likes you because of the way they are around you and the things they do for you.

I don't think anyone loves you right off the bat. I really don't believe in love a first site. It takes time for someone to really love I think. You always first like the person then you fall in love with them. That's my theory.

You don't. All you know is what you feel. And if what you feel is worth waiting to find out, then it wont matter if that person does or doesn't love you back. Eventually time will tell you if they do. You have to be patient.
