It's making like a grinding noise that almost sounds like two pieces of metal hitting eachother really really fast. How do I fix it? Do tredmils need oil?

The more you use your treadmill, the more tuning up it requires. I oil mine once a month and adjust the belt weekly.
All this should be in your manual, if you can't find it, look it up on line,
(google) just enter the make and model and you will get the instructions on upkeep including belt adjustment and oiling.
I hope I was help full and their is nothing wrong with treadmills, I use mine because I have lung disease and can't take walks outside.

You fix it by walking in real life. Go outside and walk or run. Do you really need a machine to walk? That's pretty stupid.
