I am going through a divorce at the moment, it has gone on for 18 months, yep a long time, but i keep my self very busy, i go out and meet up with my friends, family. i have also enroled in some new courses at the adult edducation centre,
i found keeping my mind busy helped but when ever i was feeling down or i missed my husband i would think about all the things he did to hurt me, then i would get angry, then i would go for a very long walk and walk away the anger, come home feeling better, make a cup of tea and then go to bed with a good book, it will happen but it does take time, i don't think i am over my ex yet, but i am enjoying my life, making the most of what i can when i can, good luck, you will be ok believe me.

JD it is no consolation, but we have all been there. Just try to get out and about - enlist the help of friends - keep as busy as you can. Personally, I got over it by saying to myself, if that "rat" was so geat, then why would he have hurt me so much? Then I realised better to know now than later. Also, when I met my current partner, I realised what **** I had put up with. Good luck, bad times always come to an end. You deserve better. Luv Camilla xx

It can take awhile depending on how much you liked the person. Just try and keep busy until some time passes and you feel better. Hang out with your friends and meet new people. Good Luck, it is tough and it sucks but everything happens for a reason and you will find someone better believe it or not!!

the rule or thumb is half the time you were together like if you were together for 6 mo then it will take 3 mo but the exception is that get over time should never pass 9 mo because buy then you should have a new girl
