i mean i just met her yesterday when one of her friends went up to me and told me. i was then shown who she was and asked her if she did. she said yes. i dont know how she can like someone until you actually talk to them. i like to be friends with someone first before i decide if i want to date them. how should i explain this to her without hurting her feelings. (if this question makes no sense please tell me so i can change it)

well, crushes are only that: crushes. i learned not to mind too much how others expect me to react-- not that i've hardened; it's just the way i ease pressure on myself. when i know that a person has a crush on me, i just smile at him and act natural. if someone asks me for a date and i dont feel like going i say thanks, but i cant. i think that goes both ways for both sexes. a man has the right to say no, too, if he doesnt like the girl enough to date her.

how not to hurt her feelings? sadly, there's no way. no matter how you say it, of course she would be hurt. but such is life: you win some, you lose some. dont let that pressure you into going out with anyone you dont like. but if you really want a nice way out, then have a group date-- and do some fun stuff together. for all you know, you might discover that you like her, too.

Well first of all I can tell yo're a great guy because you don't want to hurt her feelings...but obviously you don't have this connection with her that she thinks she has with you and it's perfectly okay to let someone down once in a while. Because you never know there might be someone out there just there for her and you're just an obstacle in her way of her finding him.

Just tell her like you said it here. Let her know your feelings on the subject. All relationships should be based on honesty. If she doesnt like it and thinks your were mean, then shes not the girl you wanna mess with anyway. A girl that appreciates honesty will be ok and get to know you before moving on to a next step.

She must have just liked your looks at first, and you are doing it the right way by basing it on personality. What you say is true and you need to get to know someone first. If she seems like a cool girl and you are physically attracted to her then hang out and see where it leads. God Luck!!

i think she's just physically attracetd to you or that she likes that you appear confident, or something. just because she has a crush on you and she's really nice, you don't have to date her. you can say that you want to get to know her first and be friends with her. if she wants to date you, you can say 'not now but MAYBE in the future'. what do you think?

she likes you probably because of your looks.Tell her how you feel.Don't do or say anything stupid.Do you like her for a friend?maybe you can tell her that and maybe she will get over likeing you like that or you might like her when you get to know each other. Ask someone else if this don't work.

I would be honest with her. Tell her that you want to be friends and that you do not have any romantic feelings for her. Who knows? You may change your mind after you get to know her better.

you must be eye-candy!
just tell her you've just met and you'd like to get to know her...give her a chance! tell her you don't date "just anyone"...then she'll really feel special if you end up enjoying her company...if you don't like her that way, maybe you'll end up with a friend...

It makes perfect sense - of which you have more than she does.

Just tell her that...before she goes all heart-throbbed on ya.
