because you never had a previous life. God created you. When you die, you won't come back to the earth, you will go to heaven or hell based on if you are saved or not

My own interpretation of the matter is this. When people die, it's a process of detachment which the spirit undergoes from it's previous bodily and material existance. Perhaps the Lord designed us like this. If the spirit remained in thoughts of it's previous family it would try to live with them as when it had a body. If the spirit remains there forever, it would become a ghost. In the spiritual world, I think the spirit has a choice to move on to another existance or remain and be a ghost. A ghost is a spirit residing in the material world. I think that when the spirit is ready to assume another body, thoughts of the past life are pushed aside, as a form of detachment. In this manner, the spirit will be motivated to enter another body. On the other hand, think about this...most of us can't remember the day we were born or when we were babies, moreover for previous lives. A baby's brain is not developed to remember too much information. I know that some people do in fact remember their past lives. Through hypnotization people can also remember their past lives. I think there is an answer to your question in the Bhagvad Gita but I can't remember.

You can. You just don't know how. And in the "fyi" department, ask a child no older than three or four and you will be very surprised with the result. Most children DO remember former lives but as they grow and do things like go to school, it's lost. Socialized out of them. Example?
I was once told by a psychic that my son had many lifetimes on the sea. Often as a pirate. When I spoke of this (he was 3 at the time) he went glassy eyed for a moment then said, "Mommy I know why I was a pirate." Knowing instinctively that he'd hooked into something, I gently asked, "Why Sweetie? Why were you a pirate?" His answer blew me away. "Because I didn't have a home," he said.
Historically, this is completely correct. Most pirates were criminals who took up piracy to avoid being locked up in their home countries. They were, without question, homeless.
The fact that my 3 year old son stated that without any prior knowledge from this lifetime, is frankly astonishing.
So how can you get to your previous lives? Ask yourself to see it in a dream just before you fall asleep. It will come to you in time. You can also meditate and get results. Good luck!

You do remember your past lives, but on a subconscious level. Very few people would benefit from knowing about their histories, and remembering is not the point anyway. If you're a Christian you might like to read "Many Mansions", which is a biography on Edgar Cayce, a devout Christian who taught reincarnation. Jesus was actually a Reincarnationist too - as an Essene rabbi he taught rebirth in the physical sense and karma, as well as healing and sharing with one another.

Actually you can... I dont know if you have ever heard of past life regression therapy, but alot of people dont believe in it. I personally have recalled 5 past lives and I am still learning and exploring them. There is a book that could help you it is called "the idiots guide to past life regression" it sounds completely stupid, even I was skeptical (Inever believe anything unless I see it) and it worked for me... I am amazed at the results. good luck!!!

Some people cannot recall their current life after trauma to the brain. What makes people think that memories are stored in a energy field that nobody has proven to exist?

if you dont believe in previous life , why do you believe in us being a spirit or a soul.Stop believing in things that your grand pa told your pa and your pa told you. Please help the world progress by not believing in this kind of shhit. There is no previous life there is no god , there is no soul, there is no life after death. When you die everything is over. and people like you who r not ready to believe this fact, that s why the religious leaders like christ and mohd. had to lie to them to keep them happy.Pl my friend stop fooling yr self any more.

You can sort of, it's called de' ja vu. It gives you little clues but there are NEW lessons and plans you have made for your new life so past lives arn't supposed to interfere except when you get the "gut" instinct. I call that past life too, somehow you know, but somehow you don't.
