according to my information the half life of augmentin is a few hours 1-3 maybe 5 if renal dysfunction is present. this makes sense also because we thus dose it 8-12 hours apart for the same reason. my source is epocrates.com, if i can answer any further information, feel free to email me

Beware that it causes explosive diarrhea. Drink a quart of yogurt after taking it. The sh*ts stay for awhile.
