The last time I told someone I love you and really meant it was about an hour ago to my boyfriend before he fell back to sleep. Time before that was when we were going to sleep :o) I tell my kids everyday that I love them. Growing up my parents and I didn't say I love you... I'm not sure why and when it stopped but I still find it difficult to tell them I love you. . . although I do tell them from time to time. So, with my kids I'm trying to let them know just how much they are loved not just by saying I love you but by being there for them. I love you can be said/shown in many different ways.
I agree that we don't say it enough. I believe we should tell the ones we love just how much they mean to us every chance we get. Not only cause it will make them feel good and happy but, also, because we can never be sure when/if we will see them again. We should cherish every moment... I know easier said than done.

Just said it about 45 minutes ago when I tucked my son into bed (we are in Germany).. I really do believe in the importance of telling the ones you love or care about as often as possible, tomorrow is never guaranteed. Don't live with regrets and treasure all the smallest moments.
Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brilliant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel,
Mel

Not a day goes by that I don't say, "I love you" to my kids and grand kids. Of course I also show them how much. I have a daughter that will be deployed to Iraq for the second time soon, and she too keeps in touch almost daily through the Internet. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for each and every one of them.
I only say, "I love you" when I truly mean it to anyone.

I just laid my daughter down for her nap, and told her that I love her. I tell her and my husband that I love them every day. I didn't hear that alot when I was growing up, so I wanted to make sure that my daughter knows with out a doubt how I feel about her and her father.

YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT
we need to become more loving but the vast majority of us are NOT.
I said I love you just this morning in a congratulations card I sent my teenage boy along with fifty dollars in it for him getting a 4.0 grade average in school last year. I am very proud of him
I hope this helps you out.

Within the last hour I called my 3 year old to say, "I love you." He is over 300 miles away visiting relatives, and I miss him so much. He replied, "I wuv you, Mommy," and filled my heart with joy. He is so precious to me, and I always want him to know that I love him.

not our case. we say I LOVE U SO MUCH thousand times a day. I mean me and my husband and we do the same to our little daughter. we can't imagine our family without all that affection, isn't it natural?
