Their beloved science was created and institutionalized by the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Furthermore we were the first to create true universities?

Common misconception, Galileo restarted the Wicca belief in sun worship, which is why the Catholic Church suppressed him, not his ideas.

Unfortunately, the answers that the scientists found were not wht the church wanted, so they attempted to stamp out the heretical monster they created.
Ever heard of Galileo? That's a good start. Look up his relationship with the Catholic church if you'd like to see their science in action...
Edit - Wicca belief in sun worship? Either you're simply making a joke, or you're getting your history from science fiction novels. I think I'll go ahead and step away from this one... You're a little creepy. :)

What are your sources? Mine don't show anything about the Catholic Church creating the first universities.
The Catholic Church, however, did place Galileo under house arrest for life for his astrological discoveries. Way to go for science, Catholics!

HELLO!! the Roman Catholic Church also instituted the Dark Ages and Bubonic Plague (not a conspiracy, but fear mongering) They killed the cats because they're associated with witches and the rats and fleas took over) Dark Ages- inquistion looking for witches, but in reality looking for people who were trying to overturn the churches power. People can be ignorant, but how can this be the will of God? Tell me where is God rather than trying to be a bully and I'd have something worth listening to.

omg you posted it again. There were 15 atheists who proved you wrong the first time and you posted this question again.
The Roman Catholic Church didn't admit that the earth wasn't the center of the universe until the 1990's.
THE 90'S
What does that tell you about the Catholic church and science?

Wow: you didn't bother to read the responses. Wow: the Catholic Church affected the development of scientific principles developed by Greeks who lived centuries BEFORE the Catholic Church was founded? Wow: interesting position.

Science has existed since the beginning of time. The Greeks and Romans studied science long before the Christian faith was even around. They had doctors who founded our ideas of modern medicine, and scientists who measured the circumference of the earth with surprising accuracy.
Your spelling is better but your facts are still skewed.

Oh wow. You got me there.
That would, of course, be the same church that led Europe into the Dark Ages while science was progressing in Muslim countries? Or the one that subjected Galileo to the Inquisition?
Just trying to make sure now. I wouldn't want anyone to think you were confused.

By institutionalized you mean by burning and hanging the scientist they disagreed with? Holding back 1000s of years of progress to protect the power they had gained by killing and torturing non-catholics?
