My brother's (older) is tweeking and being so protective, because my friend hinted that I did a lot with a guy last night (which I did). The weird part is that he usually jokes about everything and I have never seen him be protective before, he even asked where he lived (not that I told him). He's cool that he won't tell my parents, but I'm 18 and he's 25 I would think he would be over that, or am I wrong?

Why should someone who cares about you get over being protective? You need to sit down with him and let him know that you appreciate his concern, but you feel you are now old enough to make decisions about who you date without him freaking out. THEN, ask him why he has such a big concern about this specific person, then you can address those concerns. For all you know, he may have seen this guy hit a girl or heard that he raped someone. TALK

Yea this happens to me all the time. I'm 16 and my brother is 21. He's extremely protective of me, along with his 2 really good friends, it's sweet of them, but sometimes gets out of hand. Make sure you know that you can handle things on your own, and tell your brother you know he is just being protective, but to maybe take it easy

Consider yourself 1 of the lucky ones hun your brother loves you and will always want to protect you and look out for your best interests.
I do that with all my younger brothers and sister its a sign of a close family and bond you and your brother have.

Your older brother is watching out for you. You are getting serious with a guy and he is looking out for you.
Talk to your brother and tell him how you feel and ask him what he is feeling.

I think older brother's will always look out for lil' sis. I have three older brothers and they are still protective.He just cares and does not want to see you get hurt. Cherish that!!

Your brother will be there forever, he will even after you are married, some siblings are very protective of each other. Be lucky you have him if something is wrong.

Be thankful that he cares about you so much. Maybe someday somebody might mistreat you. Then you could send your bro to kick his butt., and warn him to never bother you again.
Don't throw that kind of concern away.
