something about the bleaching process that decaffeinates the coffee beans? any links to cancer?

Decaf coffee does contain chemicals that can be nasty, due to the decaffeination process. Brands labelled "naturally water decaffeinated" have less of that chemical.

If decaf was good for you, there would be natural decaf beans. These do not exist. Decaf is human altered much like we do with otherwise safe tobacco to prep them for cigs.
Pretty much anything man made is bad for you. Humans do not understand as much as we think we do and we make a lot of mistakes both accidentally and intentionally. Look at what is happening with GM crops right now. They're going crazy and killing off the real food kind of like the killer bee experiment. The point is that it's safest to go al natural.

I believe so ,but why drink decaf coffee.what is the point if not drinking it for caffeine and that little extra boost in the morning?

decaf doesn`t have any such probs as such,well infact if coffe`s devoid of caffiene i dont see any point in drinkin it either!!....now dats jus my opinion abt it,well de-caffeinated coffee is harmless n make sure u dont overdo it jus lik anythin else!

ALWAYS make sure you buy your decaf coffee that says "NATURALLY DECAFINATED". That means they decafinate it by way of spring water.
