In response to another question that I asked earlier today, a lot of replies to that question have given me another set of questions to ask.
Jesus was supposedly in existance before his birth and since the beginning of time. Ok. This is why this doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Throughout the old testament there is mention of a few of heavens inhabitants. The Devil, God, Michael the Angel, the Angel of death, other angels etc. Yet, there is no mention of God having a son or that son living in heaven and taking part in any of the happenings on heaven and earth. Am I to think that the son of God basically twiddled his thumbs in heaven, not doing anything worth mentionning until he was born and then died? Also, if Jesus was alive before he was born this brings up another question.
In the old testament, they said Jesus's name was going to be Immanuel... they didn't know his correct name before?

If Jesus is Gods only creation... then when did God create Jesus?
If Jesus was around during the beginning and Adam and Eve had a far more personal walk with God.... then wouldn't they have been aware of Jesus's existance? Yet, they never talked to or of him....

Ok... a few of you guys are really throwing me off now.
One of you said Jesus came to life as a priest in the OT BEFORE he came to life as Jesus...
A couple of you have said that Jesus was really the Archangel Michael.....
Ok.. for those of you who think he was the priest, did Jesus come back from the dead as that guy or did he just stay dead?
And why would god call his son Michael the Archangel?
Doesn't an angel have wings? So Jesus is winged now?
*confused*

In Gods realm, there is no time. Jesus could have excited just as long as God, but we can't comprehand how long that is, because God has always been. so you would just assume that God had Jesus and the Holy Spirit with him always, because, after all, they are the same mind, if different beings. So if Jesus only came into the picture when he was born, that might mean God only had Him take part in something, because Jesus actually volenteered. God was maybe thinking till he sent someone, he would rule.
While you're on the topic, ask why the Holy Ghost was not mentioned before the New Testament. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, you just might get back to the same thing.

bleedcoltsblue,
You stated above that there wasn't any reference to God's Son. You are only saying that because you don't currently know of any. What's wrong with you? Do you think that you are a born expert on religion? If so, you would be like more than half the people here. Especially the Athiests. Born experts, self gratification.
To many God did not reveal His Son as His Son. He did give clues, types and shadows of things to come. But since you are an expert on Christianity, I don't have to explain anything about any of that.
Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
If you were Jewish and learned, you would equate the term, " Son of Man" with the Messiah. It was a term that had more than one meaning like most things in Hebrew. Son of Man could sinply mean the son of a man, or it could also mean the messianic term, laced with promises and prophecy of God.
But I'm sure that you knew that.

Jesus existed before He took human form as part of the Godhead. If you notice in Gen. 1:26, it states " And God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; " God here is "Elohim", the plural form of God. The entire Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit were involved in the creation process.
It is known that God the Father has never taken any form other than spirit, therefore, any OT verse where it speaks of God being on the earth (Gen. 3:8, for example) is the pre-incarnate Christ. Also, whenever you see in the OT the term "The angel of the Lord", it is referring to the pre-incarnate Christ.

Yes. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Immanuel means "God with us." He has lots of names:
Counselor, Prince of Peace ,Lion of Judah, Jesus, Savior, Immanuel, Alpha and Omega, etc, etc,.

Psalm chapter 2
Prov. 8:30.
Gen 1:26
Many scholars believe that it was Jesus as Michael that lead Israel out of Egypt.
Many scriptures that say "Jehovah said" in the Hebrew scriptures are shown to be the angel of Jehovah, relaying the message, Jesus as the "Word" or spokesmen would have been that angel.
When you know where to look Jesus is there.

Maybe he was undercover? I really don't care about all of the details as to where, what, who and why. The Bible is a compilation of stories evolving over a few thousand years. The recipe has changed but the message is still there.

He was THE Archangel Michael (there is ONLY ONE Archangel in the Holy Bible (Jude 9), and it is Michael). Read "Wisdom Personified" (Proverbs 8:22-36) in Psalms, it’s Michael (pre-existence of Jesus talking) about his creation by God and how everything was then created by him.
At 1 Thessalonians 4:16 it states here he has "the Archangels voice" when it says "16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; (Mat. 24:30; 1 Cor. 15:52; 15: 23). Since Christ is NOW IN HEAVEN the King of All except God, it would be a "lowering or a downgrade of his position to call him THE Archangel, unless he ALREADY WAS."
Also, other correspondences establishing that Michael is actually the Son of God are listed. Daniel, after marking the first reference to Michael (Dan. 10:13), recorded a long-range prophecy reaching down to "the time of the end" (Daniel 11:40), and then stated: "And during that TIME MICHAEL WILL STAND UP (Dan. 12:1), that is will take up power or begin to reign as king. (Compare Daniel 8:22, 23; 11:2, 3, 7, 20, 21.) This implies that a period of being seated preceded his standing up as king. In agreement there with Hebrews 10:12, 13 says regarding Christ Jesus: "This man offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet." Michael's stand up was to lead to a "time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time." (Dan. 12:1).
The Book of Revelation (12:7, 10, 12) mentions Michael in connection with the establishment of God's kingdom and links the event with trouble for the earth: "And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled. And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: 'Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down . . . On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea.' “Jesus Christ is later depicted as leading the heavenly armies in war against the nations of the earth. (Rev. 19:11-16) This would mean a period of distress for them which is to follow Michael's standing up. (Dan. 12:1)
In his prehuman existence Jesus was called "the Word." (John 1:1) He also had the personal name Michael. By retaining the name Jesus after his resurrection (Acts 9:5), the "Word" shows that he is identical with the Son of God on earth. His resuming his heavenly name Michael and his title (or, name) "The Word of God" (Rev. 1(:13) ties him with his prehuman existence. The very name Michael, MEANING as it does "Who is like God?," points to the fact that God is WITHOUT LIKE or EQUAL and Michael as his archangel is his greatest Champion or Vindicator, never trying to equal himself to his Father and Creator.
