Would a woman be ashamed to tell her family and friends that her boyfriend is a janitor, trash man or something that doesnt get alot of respect?

well, is a woman supposed to love a man or his job? ie. money. if he's a hard working man that takes care of his business, she should not be ashamed of him and she doesn't deserve him. Now if he's a lazy bum, he doesn't deserve anyone.

When younger ,some of my female friends would all turn their backs on me at once, and not talk to me anymore and I'd have no idea why and they'd never tell me. I was outed from groups. I used to be very quiet and shy, never backstabbed or stole boyfriends. A few years after I had two good female friends who dumped me as a friend when my money ran out, thought they were real friends but sometimes a person learns life's lessons the hard way. I only have one good female friend now, we've been mates for more than a decade and we never use each other or abuse our friendship. One good and trustworthy friend is more important to me and means more than 50 friends who just want something out of me. Am more of a loner for the most part, but while I keep my distance, I still enjoy other peoples company, just it takes a long time for a lasting friendship to develop. Am nice and not stand-offish, but like my mum said, there's a wall that she couldn't get past with me and she had trouble getting close.

My girlfriend is ashamed in certain circles to admit that I am an investment banker. I make tons of money and have social status, but the hours it requires seem to imply to certain of her friends that I value my career more than I value her, which she knows not to be true. None the less, it embarasses her to talk about my job with them.

Just think some men dont have a job they lay around and do nothing, be lucky he is holding a job no matter what it is.

No I wouldnt care as long as he has a job and is helping with bills then it doesnt matter. As long as I am happy my parents will be happy.

no, it was kinda imberresing to tell people my husband use to work at wal-mart! : ) thats because now he has an awesome job in this really great company... And its like he use to work at wal-mart :(
