I know the body is a dead corpse but what happens to our essence or soul?

Man is a spirit, which has a soul and lives in a body. After death, the body and soul dies, but the spirit will go back to the maker to be judge. If you choose the path that God has designed for you to follow, truth and justice by accepting Gods gift, which is His son Jesus Christ, you will spend eternity with God in Heaven. However, if not, then you will spend eternity with the devil and his angels in Hell.

As most or all religions both primitive and sophisticated, believe mankind is endowed with a spiritual side in direct opposite relationship to our physical being.
This is an almost inherent belief system where after death the spirit moves into the spiritual realm. What happens there is altogether a whole different chapter.

Simple. If your soul is considered as the total effect of your neurons in your brain firing, it'll go nowhere, and die with the rest of your body.

I beleive that we go to heaven for awhile . then I think we are reborn into anouther body and live anouther life. that way we can learn more lessons and become wiser. that cycle just keeps repeating itsself untill weve learned all we need to know. have you ever heard the term....your a very old soul??? that refers to those who are wise.

If you just believe that Jesus died for you and will forgive ALL of the things you did wrond because he loves you, and that he exsists, then you will go to a WONDERUL place called Heaven when you die.
Heaven has no sin, no darkness, you can eat all you want though if you try to starve you'll live anyway, every person will be beautiful, we all will live in mansions, and life will be AWESOME forEVER! there will be no sun, moon, stars, or any light, because Heaven itself glows.

I don't know about you but I'm gonna be an angel. Yup an angel. Someone has to watch over my kids. As for our soul or our essence my kids with carry that on though them.
