The dash has to come apart. There should be some screws adn usually there are snap in place retainers as well that you can remove by just pulling on the.
You'll have to go to Best Buy or somewhere to buy a wire harness adapter for your car. Also, you may need a mounting kit depending on the radio size and the stock size of your Fiesta.

You will need the right type off removal keys , these are a u shape and on the end of them is a little cut out, this is they click into place.
Insert the keys into the holes in the front of the radio, till they click, then gently but firmly pull the radio towards you , it my put up a bit of a fight but don't worry a few side to side movements and it should release.
Now its out you will need to install a facsia panel to change it from double din to standard din size,no problem with this part of the install
In the facsia kit there should be a bracket for the back of the new cd , please install this ,it is to take the weight of the cd and to stop it falling out. ( it can be fiddly just take your time as it is quite important ).
last job ,the wiring ,no pr obs just get a ford to ISO converter lead , clip these together ,ease the cd into the din hole , line the bracket slots up with the shelf above the cd and it should all slide into place.
You can get all that you need to do the job from halfords , your local car audio shop or as a last resort eBay
Good Luck and please take your time

put the two pins in and wiggle it, some time they are a bit fiddely.
you may need a head unit facia avaliable at any halfords or good car acc shop then fit the radio bracket and bend down all the tabs the wires should not have to be cut if they dont fit the new head unit you have go to halfords and get the correct wiring harnes. pop it in and away you go. ps your bro should know this being a mechanic and tell your other broher unles he is a auto electrician leave your car alone a house and car are not the same.

hi there i think your car has the double size head unit but it will pull out with the two pins one in either side sometimes they come out fine other times they are a nightmare but it will come out!. you will have to get an adapter to make the new head unit fit into the bigger space left by the old one , but you can get these from most car shops £15-20 as for the wiring you should be able to get an adapter plug from the same place or cut and solder the wires ( you do need to know what your doning for that though) .

Just to add to what everyone else has said.
I've made a removal tool from an old wire coat hanger before now. You just need to put a notch in with a hacksaw so that they catch when you put the rod in to enable you to pull the radio out.

Depends whether it is a fixed audio unit - ones that ford supply themselves or a normal size one that you can but from the shop. if it is the fixed type you are best to go to a ford dealership and get a proper job done
